What is Rosin
Rosin refers to a solvent free extraction process that utilizes a combination of heat and pressure to nearly instantaneously squeeze resinous sap from the starting material.
Unlike Shatter, BHO, PHO, CO2, Distillate/Clear and all the other concentrates on the market, no Solvent’s, or light Hydrocarbons are used in the extraction process; this allows rosin to retain all the valuable terpenes that are destroyed by solvents and light hydrocarbons that are used in other extraction processes
In other words, you are essentially getting shatter without any solvents.
Why is Rosin becoming so popular
- Rosin is 100 percent free of solvents, so it is certain that health conscious consumers are seeking it out, perhaps exclusively.
- Rosin is just as potent as BHO and other concentrates by cannabinoid percentage – typically with THC in the 60-80% range.
- Rosin has the highest terpene preservation of any extract. With the exception of Rosin, every method of extraction destroys/strips away some or all of the flower’s natural terpenes. The only truly effective way to capture the complex flavours and effects of cannabis is to preserve the compounds as they are in nature. That is exactly what Rosin does.
